General contractors using Novade’s digital platform are able to quickly record and report workers’ temperatures on-site.
Novade, a software developer for smart field management in the building and construction industry, has implemented a new functionality in its digital platform and mobile application to record and report temperatures for large teams as a preventive measure against COVID-19.
The new functionality enables the adoption and adherence of the temperature-taking exercise twice a day, in line with the current Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) recommendation. The information is recorded quickly on the mobile app, offering instant access to the data collected. Reports can be generated on the spot, downloaded and shared.
The temperature-recording enhancement of the Novade mobile app is the result of a collaboration with Obayashi Singapore, the Singapore arm of a Japanese construction company working on several key projects locally. David Lim, ICT Manager of Obayashi Singapore, shared, “We are now able to easily ensure that preventive measures in the field are quickly and accurately executed. This is critical given the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19.”
Said Denis Branthonne, CEO and founder of Novade, “It’s fascinating to see how technology is helping to share information globally to speed up research. Likewise, technology can also be applied to help companies better manage situations in the field.”
Digitisation offers accurate and instant information delivery and data collection. This helps in crisis situations such as on-site incidents, as well as the current COVID-19 outbreak where transparency and timeliness in the management of a large workforce is crucial.
