COURSE OBJECTIVE
AUTODESK REVIT ARCHITECTURE 2022 FUNDAMENTALS
The Autodesk® Revit® software is a powerful Building Information Modeling (BIM) program that works the way architects think. The program streamlines the design process using a central 3D model, where changes made in one view update across all views and on the printable sheets.
The objective of the Autodesk® Revit®: Fundamentals for Architecture Training is to enable you to create a full 3D architectural project model including walls, doors, windows, components, floors, ceilings, roofs, stairs, the basic tools that most architectural users need. This includes how to navigate the user interface and use the basic drawing, editing, and viewing tools. The final part of the course focuses on creating construction documents.

AUTODESK REVIT ARCHITECTURE 2022 ADVANCED
Training will start off with collaboration tools. It is to enable learners who have a basic knowledge of Autodesk Revit, to increase their productivity while working with other people on a team, either in the same firm or other firms as well as with other disciplines.
It also covers linking Autodesk Revit files and linking or importing other CAD files. Following on, the course will venture into Conceptual Design & Visualization. As architects and designers start a project, they frequently think about the overall massing of a building or the area of the footprint. Using its powerful Building Information Modeling (BIM) engine, includes tools for creating mass elements that can be modified into many shapes. It can also apply walls, roofs, and floors to them to continue designing. This is to expand participants’ knowledge in the areas of Conceptual Design, including massing studies, space planning, visualization, and rendering.
Lastly, architects also frequently need to add site and structural information – The Site and Structural Design topics cover the elements and tools that are used to create topographic surfaces for site work and add structural elements.

NEW FEATURES OF AUTODESK REVIT 2022: ARCHITECTURE SPECIFIC
- GENERATIVE DESIGN: All the improvements from past updates are integrated into Revit, which include include new sample studies, better file management, and simplified tools for Dynamo.
- TAG CURTAIN WALL MULLIONS: Curtain Wall Mullions can now be tagged in Revit 2022. Both mullion specific tags and multi-category tags can be used on Curtain Wall Mullions by editing an existing tag and changing its category to curtain wall mullions accordingly.
- SPOT SLOPES ON RAMPS: Finally it have been implemented, the ability to include Spot Slopes on ramps. The Ramps Spot Slopes function in the exact same manner that spot slopes for roof and floor falls have historically worked, which means the slope will report any specific Edge, Face or Point on the Ramp.
- IMPROVED FORMIT INTEROPERABILITY: Revit 2022 has a host of Improved Features for FormIt Interoperability. The first improvement is that the geometry shared between the applications now has a far more consistent appearance across applications.
- WALL ENHANCEMENTS: Revit 2022 has now included a series of new wall enhancements which include the ability to Taper walls so that they have a variable width between the bottom and top of wall which is particularly useful for the likes of retaining walls, rammed earth walls etc.
Revit 2022 also now has the capacity to Edit the Profile of Slanted Walls in the plane as the slant. Finally the visibility graphics overrides in Revit 2022 now have the capacity to Hide the Non-Core Wall layers so that only the wall core is visible in view. - PEOPLE FLOW TOOLKIT: This was originally an add-on but now is part of the default installation of Revit 2022.
The new people flow toolkit includes the ability to create a spatial grid within each room to help visualise spatial distance within a room.
It also includes a one-way indicator which shows the direction of travel of the personnel route. The new People Flow Toolset also allows for the creation of multiple parts simultaneously between points with an allowance for a minimum separation distance so that designers can visualise multiple egress routes at the same time.
Finally Revit 2022 also has included a people content which will place a family in the model that loosely represents the occupancy of the space and is capable of blocking the path of travel as it is identifiable as as an object which cannot be passed through much the same as a wall or similar geometry. - ENHANCED RPC: Revit 2022 has improved RPC’s for more rich photo-realistic content. For those who don’t know the RPC content is the Entourage content for rendering output and 3D visualisation within Revit. This includes but is not limited to people, certain Furnishings, certain site Entourage such as cars, vehicles, lamp posts and that kind of thing.
The improvements include, but are not limited to, a better quality 3D Render presentation of RPCs compared to previous Revit versions, a more aesthetic representation in non rendered views, the ability to control RPC representation for cars and similar, improved render appearance properties in the Furnishings category, a host of 28 new RPC content items etc. It is worth noting for those of you who use Cloud rendering Solutions via the Autodesk credit system that the new RPC elements from Revit 2022 are not yet supported within the Cloud rendering dialogue.
